📝 Hopkins Rentals – Terms & Conditions

By renting a dumpster from Hopkins Rentals, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Dumpster Placement Liability
Hopkins Rentals is not liable for any damage to property resulting from the placement, delivery, or removal of the dumpster. It is the customer’s responsibility to designate a suitable location for drop-off. Please consider the condition of driveways, lawns, and surrounding surfaces before delivery.
2. Rental Period and Daily Charges
All rentals include a 7-day rental period.
If the dumpster is kept beyond the included 7-day rental period, the following additional daily charges will apply:
Days 8–13: $10 per additional day (up to 6 additional days)
Day 14 and beyond: $25 per additional day
Daily charges will continue to accrue until pickup is scheduled and completed.
3. Weight Limits and Overage Fees
Each dumpster includes a specific weight (tonnage) limit based on the dumpster size and rental agreement. Any weight exceeding the allowed limit will be subject to an overage fee of $0.04 per pound.
4. Prohibited & Restricted Materials
The following hazardous or restricted materials may not be placed in a dumpster unless specifically approved by Hopkins Rentals:
Paints – Oil-based, aerosol, or water-based
Oils – Motor, hydraulic, or cooking oils
Fuels – Gasoline, diesel, propane, or other flammable liquids
Batteries – All types
Toxic chemicals – Poisons, pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides
Bulbs – Fluorescent or mercury vapor bulbs
Asbestos-containing materials
Propane tanks – Including empty tanks
Appliances containing Freon – Such as refrigerators, freezers, or A/C units
Yard waste/compostables – Must not be mixed with other types of waste
Mattresses, box springs, and tires require special disposal and are subject to additional fees.
5. Mattress, Box Spring & Tire Disposal Fees
Mattresses, box springs, and tires require special handling and disposal and are not included in the standard dumpster rental price or included tonnage allowance.
Mattresses & Box Springs: $26 disposal fee per item.
Tires: Additional disposal fees apply per tire. Pricing may vary depending on tire size, type, and whether the tire is mounted on a rim.
Customers are responsible for notifying Hopkins Rentals if mattresses, box springs, or tires will be placed in the dumpster. Any applicable disposal fees will be charged in addition to the regular rental price, weight overages, and other applicable charges.
6. Improper Use and Additional Fees
Customers are responsible for ensuring proper use of the dumpster. Loads containing prohibited materials, undisclosed restricted items, or improperly mixed yard waste may be subject to additional handling, cleanup, transportation, or disposal fees.
Hopkins Rentals reserves the right to refuse pickup or disposal of materials that are hazardous, prohibited, unsafe, or otherwise unacceptable to the disposal facility.
7. Scheduling and Access
Please ensure the dumpster is accessible on the scheduled pickup day. A trip charge may apply if the dumpster is blocked, overloaded, inaccessible, or otherwise unable to be safely removed.
