📝 Hopkins Rentals – Terms & Conditions

By renting a dumpster from Hopkins Rentals, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Dumpster Placement Liability

Hopkins Rentals is not liable for any damage to property resulting from the placement, delivery, or removal of the dumpster. It is the customer’s responsibility to designate a suitable location for drop-off. Please consider the condition of driveways, lawns, and surrounding surfaces before delivery.

2. Rental Period and Daily Charges

All rentals include a 7-day rental period. If the dumpster is kept beyond this period, a daily charge of $10 will apply beginning on the 8th day and each day thereafter until pickup is scheduled and completed.

3. Weight Limits and Overage Fees

Each dumpster includes a specific weight (tonnage) limit based on the size and rental agreement. Any weight exceeding the allowed limit will be subject to an overage fee of $0.04 per pound.

4. Prohibited Materials

The following hazardous or restricted materials are strictly prohibited from being placed in any dumpster:

  • Paints – Oil-based, aerosol, or water-based

  • Oils – Motor, hydraulic, or cooking oils

  • Fuels – Gasoline, diesel, propane

  • Batteries – All types

  • Toxic Chemicals – Poisons, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides

  • Bulbs – Fluorescent or mercury vapor bulbs

  • Asbestos-containing materials

  • Propane tanks – Including empty tanks

  • Tires – With or without rims

  • Appliances containing Freon – Such as refrigerators, freezers, or A/C units

  • Yard Waste/Compostables – Must not be mixed with other types of waste

5. Mattress & Box Spring Disposal

Any mattress or box spring placed in the dumpster will incur a $26 disposal fee per item due to special handling requirements.

6. Improper Use and Fees

Customers are responsible for ensuring the proper use of the dumpster. Contaminated loads containing prohibited materials or mixed yard waste may incur additional handling or disposal fees and could result in refusal of service.

7. Scheduling and Access

Please ensure the dumpster is accessible on the scheduled pickup day. A trip charge may apply if the dumpster is blocked or otherwise inaccessible.
